The Coleman Theatre

Located 5.6 miles away on historic Route 66, the beautiful Coleman Theatre is in downtown Miami. You do not want to miss a tour of this prize gem, a Spanish Colonial Revival exterior, Louis XV interior theater, the most elaborate between Dallas and Kansas City. The Coleman opened April 18, 1929, to a full house of 1,600, each paying $1.00 per ticket. The theatre has transitioned from vaudeville, to a movie house, and now to performing arts and has never been dark. Among the many stars who have performed on the stage are Will Rogers, Tom Mix, Sally Rand, Bing Crosby, Jim Thorpe, the magician Harry Blackstone and Moscelyn Larkin. 103 N.
